Then I discovered the world of YouTube, where many tattoo artists offered tips and advice. I spent the next few years watching thousands of hours of content across every single channel on the topic I could find. This is how I learned to tattoo.

The problem with jumping around on YouTube is that there’s no structure. None! Jumping from a linework lesson, straight into a shading lesson, and back to learning about lines, then onto needle depth!

How does a "normal" apprenticeship work?
You watch an artist at work, over their shoulder? Try to learn what you can then attempt some practice mats on your own? I can immediately start to see some problems.
