This is something that MANY People ask me, and the answer is YES! Students can THRIVE on an online course. But only if they follow the lessons and put in the effort.
Think about it – how do you learn through an apprenticeship? You watch over a tattoo artists shoulder and complete practice mats. Now it’s highly unlikely that a tattoo artist has put together a structured curriculum for you, it’s EVEN MORE unlikely that the exact customers come through the door so the artist can demonstrate basic linework, shading and simple designs before gradually working up to realism. You’re stuck watching whatever that artist specialises in, and if they’re busy how much time are they going to spend on each tattoo walking you through their techniques.
Let me propose a BETTER way, where I take you step-by-step through the theory followed by practical demonstrations for you to follow from home. Covering all the fundamental skills you’ll need and then building them up through various drills and applying them to a vast array of tattoo styles. “You HAVE to do an Apprenticeship to become a Tattoo Artist”
This is an EASY myth to BUST. There are already Thousands of Tattoo Artists working in the industry today who have completed these courses instead of going though the Traditional Apprenticeship route.
But is an Online Course a BETTER Alternative?

“The Industry is TOO SATURATED” “There are ALREADY Too Many Artists” “There’s not enough work to go around”
You’ve probably heard this yourself, artists claiming that the industry is stagnant and that there are already far too many Tattoo Artists. This is SIMPLY NOT TRUE. It’s still perfectly achievable to run six or seven figure tattoo studios using the methods set out in my business courses. Unsuccessful artists are using industry saturation as an EXCUSE for not achieving the level of income they dreamed of. When in reality, there is more than enough work for everyone.
The cold reality is that simply being a good Tattoo Artist DOESN’T automatically mean you’ll get bookings.

Stage 1 – Welcome & Kit Basics
Stage 1 is covered in the Fundamentals of Tattooing course, you will be walked through exactly what equipment is required for the course, how to hygienically set up your practice station, how to create / print / apply tattoo stencils, and some of the core principles behind tattooing.
This stage will give you a practical understanding of how tattoo machines work, tattoo hand and machine speed, and how different tattoo needles effect the tattoo.
Stage 1 is covered in huge detail within Tattoo Method Pro, a course available in the Pro and Master packages.
Stage 2 – Fundamental Techniques
Stage 2 is covered in the Fundamentals of Tattooing course and then REFINED in FULL Tattoo Method Pro Course. These Fundamental Techniques include linework, shading theory, dotwork, brush shading and whip shading.
Starting with linework drills, you will build your technique until you can comfortably complete simple designs. Then moving on to your shading skills, wrapping it all together with a series of shaded designs.
At the end of this stage you should be able to comfortably complete simple practice mat designs to a good standard. You can then choose to go onto one of the paid options. Even if you don’t opt for the Pro or Master packages, Tattoo Membership Lite will give you two new lessons per week for an incredible price.
Should you decide to continue to your journey to a professional standard, you can move onto Stage 3 with Tattoo Membership Pro or Tattoo Membership Master.
Stage 3 – Refining to PERFECTION
Stage 3 will take you from a beginner to professional standard. Using either Tattoo Membership Pro or Master, you’ll go through a programme of over 200 lessons. Building and refining your techniques and taking you from simples designs right up to beautiful realistic tattoos on the mats.
This stage allows you to apply these skills to a massive variety of tattoo styles, so you can turn your hand to any tattoo a client might ask of you. It also strongly encourages you to experiment and develop your own unique style of tattoo artisty.
Unlike learning from any other online content, or through a traditional apprenticeship, you won’t be forced into using one technique – I will teach you all of them and you can use what feels right for YOU.
If you opt for the Master package, you’ll also get access to numerous other courses to help you with your journey. These include: Portrait Masterclass – a series of highly technical tattoos that will push your skills to the limit. ProCreate Masterclass – a full course showing you how to get the most out of the industry’s favourite tattoo design software.
Stage 4 – Transitioning to REAL Skin
Stage 4 is covered by both the Pro and Master Subscription levels, and will teach you how to transition from practice mats to real skin. I’ll break down the differences, how to approach your first tattoo and what sort of design to choose.
You’ll learn exactly how to build up gradually ensuring a fantastic quality of tattoo and happy clients. These lessons having been created with me tattooing actual clients, so you can see first hand exactly how I take on each tattoo.
Stage 5 – Becoming a Business Savvy Artist
For those who have purchased the Master subscription, you will learn exactly how to run a successful studio.
